First (before I start complaining), I have to say that I really love shooting food, wine, etc. but (here it comes) champagne is a real PITA. I may not have any hair left by the time I ever get this right. The sparkling always looks flat, you have to keep the shutter speeds fast to capture bubbles so I can't use my usual lighting strategies, and it's really hard to make this black and gold bottle look "fun" and "friendly". I made some progress today with lighting strategies and bubbles (which you can't see in this shot but look good in a few with other "issues"). Maybe tomorrow..... A Shot A Day. 365. 7-9-09.
